Ebby here (short for Ebonymarie)! I’m a twenty something Minneapolis native with a passion for design. Color is my muse, something like any of my favorites (Andy Warhol, Yayoi Kusama, Frida, the list goes on). It was learning about them where I fell in love with their use of color and knew I wanted to do something with art. Making a living as an artist can be difficult which is why I decided to pursue my career in graphic design.
I believe that being an artist is something that one is born to do, although I went on to study through practical experience, I began learning through trial and error as a child. By high school, I had already begun perfecting my natural craft. Through elective courses at The University of Missouri – Columbia and The University of Minnesota – Twin Cities my skills became more well-rounded & marketing forward.
I work primarily in acrylic paints and mixed media. I’m currently freelance working under my LLC, Ebby & Ivory. Producing art on the regular and helping people bring their business visions to fruition with my graphic design services. My latest collection of pieces has been using the trendy Mylar balloons as the subject.
Graphic Design is my strategic creative side, and my mixed media/paintings are where I get to play.
